Officer, 17th Light Dragoons AWI- PAINTED!

Here he is...Finally painted. I have to admit, the embroidery thread/floss mane and tail is getting easier to do. Still a lot of manipulation, but I know now what, and what not to do in regards to application and the like. I guess it's all in repetition. Painted all in acrylics.

French Hussar, Marine Foreign Volunteers, 1781

I'll be posting a few new American Revolutionary War subjects quickly in the next few weeks. MFCA is just around the corner and I have lots of posting to catch up on. First up is a French Hussar from their service during the Yorktown campaign. Just a gorgeous uniform. The medium/light blue jacket and yellow breeches really make this figure pop. I utilized a lot Historex pieces for this project and in doing, I had to alter the scale of my armature. So he's a tad larger than the usual 54mm. Painted all in acrylics.

Big ol' pile of heads and armatures for the St. Privat project.
